I figured it might be kinda nice if Nildro-inlé Warren had its own chat room where members who are online could meet to discuss what's going on in the RPG, or to just plain talk about whatever. At our old website, Posy-rah had a chat for us which was provided by Beseen. However, that chat was pretty slow and cumbersome to get around at, and in order to get into it, you had to sign up at Beseen. Now, the first chat we had here was through AT&T WorldNet (my ISP and where this site is located), but it turned out to be pretty uncool. We always had problems getting into it, and it was pretty darn slow. NOW, though, we have a new chat room through CentralChat.net (an IRC network) which is a LOT better than our old one. However, it's a bit more complicated to get into than the old one, so please bear with me here while I explain how you can get into the chat:
- If you have an IRC client on your computer that you are familiar with using, then use it to connect to the IRC server aqua.centralchat.net. Log in under whatever nickname you wish to use, and join the channel "#nildro-inle".Good luck everyone!- If you don't have an IRC client installed on your computer, but would like to obtain one that you can use in the future, then I recommend mIRC, which can be downloaded from CentralChat.net.
- If you don't have an IRC client installed on your computer, and you don't want one or can't get one for some reason, then click here to log into the chat room using CentralChat.net's Java-based IRC client. Please note that if you use this link to connect to the chat room via the Java IRC client, you will always end up in the Nildro-inlé chat room initially. The Java IRC client is nice, but it's limited as far as commands.
- If every time you log into our chat channel, even if it's at a pre-planned chat date and time, you never see anyone else in the room, it's because you aren't connecting to the right IRC server. Remember to always connect to aqua.centralchat.net when you're going to come into the Nildro-inlé channel.
- ...And remember, no role playing in the sense that you intend for it to "officially" be included in the RPG. If you want your character to do something in the RPG, just post it on the role playing board. That's what it's there for. If you want to "practice" role playing in the chat room or if you're just goofing around, then that's perfectly fine. Otherwise, for something to be included in the RPG, it needs to be posted on the RP board.
