So, you want to join the warren, eh? That's cool, but you have to realize that this is a serious commitment. Yes, it's fun. Yes, it's exciting. But no, it's not a one-time thing. Think of joining Nildro-inlé as buying a new pet. Like having a new pet, being a member of Nildro-inlé Warren is not without certain responsibilities. A pet needs to be fed and paid attention to every day. So does Nildro-inlé. I prefer that you post on the role playing board at least once a day, like you might feed your pet at least once a day. Some pets don't need to be fed as often as others, like some (all?) snakes. If your character is a civilian at the warren and is not a major character, then you need to post for them (on average) at least once a week. If you neglect to feed your pet, it will die. If you neglect to post for one of your characters for a month, they will be removed from the character listing. If you disappear without a trace and all of your characters are inactive for a month, then your player page and all your character pages will be removed from the listings. This rule has been put into effect for several reasons, one of which is that I get a LOT of member submissions from people who don't ever post even once for their character. These characters take up a lot of space on the listing, and having so many inactive characters on the list sometimes causes confusion and frustration for me and the other active members of the warren.

Before you rush off to fill out a signup "form," there are a few more things you should know. One of these things is that I reserve the right to correct any spelling/gramatical/mechanical mistakes you make on either your profile or your character's profile. Another is that you must read the site disclaimer, Rules and Guidelines of Role Playing, and FAQ pages before you submit your form. Yet another is that you need to put "Flyairth" in the "Comments, etc." area of the form so that I know you have read and understand this page.

After you have submitted your signup form, in order to be accepted as a member of the warren and have your member pages put up, you must start role playing. You have to have made at least one post on the role playing board before your member pages get put up. If your post doesn't get deleted because it's so bad, then you can consider yourself an accepted member. If you are under the age of 13, your parents have to send me an e-mail stating that they are aware that you are signing up to become a member of the warren, and that you have their permission to be signing up, before I will put up your member pages.

If I haven't chased you away and you're still reading this, good. You're almost ready to fill out the form! I will now explain to you which fields of the form you MUST fill in. You MUST fill in the Name, Age, and E-mail Address fields in the Player Information section. If you have already submitted your Player Profile with this information and you just want to sign up a new character, then all you need to fill in is your name--you can delete everything else (even the field names) under Player Information. You MUST also fill out ALL the fields in the Character Information section.

Still reading? Good. I will now provide an explanation of what information is expected in each field of the form:

Player Information:
Name: Here you must enter in whatever name you wish to be called by here at Nildro-inlé Warren. This does NOT have to be your real name. It can be your real name if you like, or it can be your nickname, or whatever name you like to go by online. It can NOT be innappropriate or the same as your character's name.
Age: Tell me how old you are. You can NOT put a question mark. If you are under the age of 13, then tell me your age and tell your parents what you're up to. They need to send me an e-mail stating that they are aware that you are signing up to become a member of the warren, and that you have their permission to be signing up. If you are 13 to 17 years old, simply tell me your age. If you are 18 or older, you may put down your age, or put down that you're "Over 18" or something like that, if for some reason you feel that it is necessary for you to keep your age a secret.
E-mail Address: Your REAL e-mail address. If you put down a fake one or one which doesn't belong to you, your player and character pages will not be put up. If you want your e-mail address to not appear anywhere on the site, then put the word "secret" in parentheses after your address.
Gender: Self explanitory. Leave it blank if for some reason you feel uncomfortable divulging this information.
Other: Change the name of the field to whatever you wish and add as many additional fields as you like to the "Player Information" section. For ideas of some good fields to add, take a look at my Player Profile. At the very least, tell us a bit about your interests and hobbies.
Comments, Questions, Etc.: Any comments/questions/etc. that you have for me go here. Perhaps there is something else that might have to be put here as well? Something like a word which starts with an "F" and is mentioned in bold text in the above paragraph? (*cough, cough*)

Character Information:
Name: Your character's name goes here. It can't be the same as that of another rabbit already living in the warren. Bucks are usually named after plants, and does are usually given Lapine names, but you can make up a name or do pretty much whatever you wish.
Gender: Self explanitory.
Life Stage: There are six life stages that you can choose from which indicate your character's approximate age: Newborn, Kitten, Adolescent, Adult, Senescent Adult ("senescent" is a fancy word which basically means "aging"), and Senior. A character (and any real rabbit) dies of old age once they are about 10 years old, so if your character starts off as a Senescent Adult or a Senior, then you're really limited yourself as far as how long you will be able to play your character in real life. Rabbits in the wild don't live nearly as long as 10 years most of the time, and if they do, they're really, really lucky!
Appearance: Write a detailed description of what your character looks like. Big/small, fat/thin, brown fur/black fur, etc. If you have an image of your character that you would like on their character page instead of a description, then just type out the exact URL of its location, or attach the file (it must be a JPEG or a GIF) to your signup e-mail. I will download the image and upload it to the Nildro-inlé website, so there will be no bandwidth theft or direct linking going on.
Position: Put whether your character is starting out as a Civilian or an Owsla Member. Then, tell me what position (if any) your character is going to try to obtain in the RPG.
Bio: Write all about your character. You should also try to include some of their background.
